Swedish designer and architect Anna von Schewen graduated from Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Stockholm 1995.
She started her design studio in 1997 and is continuously working with some of the most renowned Swedish manufacturers such as Gärsnäs, String and Svenskt Tenn. In 2014 Anna von Schewen took a new step into an international career, by her collaboration with Italian high-end brands De Padova and Zanotta followed by the launch of her first products for Arflex Japan in 2016. She has gained a reputation for her experimental and exploring approach to furniture design as well as exhibition design and architecture.
Anna von Schewen combines her Scandinavian attitude towards material and form with a strong interest in textiles to create useful objects where concept and detailing merge. She has received several prestigious awards over the years e.g. Excellent Swedish Design Prize, EDIDA Award Sweden, German Design Award and the Bruno Mathsson Award.
Works by Anna von Schewen are represented in the permanent collections of Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art, Amsterdam, Kunstindustrimuseet Oslo, Nationalmuseum Stockholm and Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg.
